Just got SH4

Loaded it up, fired it up, did a little looking around. Hmm, let's take a look at that SH3 GWX 1944 campaign again, shall we?

I'm sure this is nothing new, learning curve and all. But it sure is a lot different, so it's not just "jump in and take off."

If you can chew gum and walk at the same time you will have no troubles playing both SH3 and SH4 :yep::lol:

Seriously, it is not that difficult to learn, and it is a different experience as it should be, its a different game.

Neither SH3 or SH4 are 'full steam ahead' on first loading :nope: They are totally different games/theatres etc. and as a result I should imagine they also have differing levels of complexity and challenge.
Play them both and enjoy each concept/experience and then you'll probably decide on a prefered choice after a while.
I have both, but won't be making a definitive choice until hopefully, SH4 has been modded as much as SH3 :up:

Stock SH3 can be done from 39-45 once you mastered it but GWX is a whole new ball game. It's hard real hard but more realistic, as for SH4 I am up to 84% realism now and sooner or latter crack the 100% then try the Trigger Maru which is a good start to making SH4 more realistic. I enjoy both games as they offer different things to do and in a couple of years SH4 will probably have it's own super mod just like SH3 has.

I found my first attempt at SH4 to be rather disorienting, because of the Imperial measurements.

This is ironic, since I'm an American, and consider the metric system to be the tool of the devil.

Apparently, I measure the weather in Fahrenheit, my weight in pounds, short distances in feet, long distances in miles, and range to target in meters. Go figure.

You can switch the distance measurments to metric if you so wish, it's in with the realism settings.

Play both :yep: .

Currently I have a career out of Brest ( 41' ) with SH3\GWX; and with SH4 I am also in 41', out of Pearl. With SH4 I should mention that I have Trigger Maru and ROW both installed, with a few smaller mods added in as well.
