Bernard is a mythical entity, and therefore cannot be killed. It's good to have someone else to blame our misfortunes on, but idle speculation is useless.
Now get out there and sink some ships!:hulk:

If there was no Bernard the Royal Navy would stop depth charging U-Boats and what fun would that be?
Who would we blame everything on?

Very boring indeed
Our world would not be the same without Bernard.
Bernard is a mythical entity, and therefore cannot be killed.
Although somebody may feel the need to try it..... When I leave the bridge to check the map while being near a convoy....
Or when Petty Officer B. is aiming at ships with the deck gun, or when Lt. z.See B. is entering something into the TDC or when ......
Maybe we should make him an admiral?
Bernard who?

a world without misery... we would have won the war.. less subs would be destroyed... more alied merchants/warships would rest on the ocean floor... but still... it would be empty without that little bastard to fudge thing up  :shifty:
Surely he hath borne our Griefs
and carried our Sorrows;
Yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of god and afflicted
and Bernard shall bear upon him
all their iniquities
unto a Land not inhabited."

The only thing to replace Bernard is a Jochen Mohr who is a very Suicidal Captain on U-124. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

A game of SHIII without Bernard would be like Pac Man without the ghosts, or day without sunshine !
I mean.. who else are we going to start screaming at when all our torpedoes miss their targets and 14 destroyers begin raining 100000 depth charges on us... or when we smash up onto an island beach while trying to run away from them ?:nope:
