I can't beleive someone would buy that. That guy probably had a friend buy it as a joke / publicity stunt.

It's just me, selling my alter ego by using a pseudonym.

Ive seen a few stupid items sold on the main kiwi auctions, Trademe.co.nz

Some comes to mind...

Empty coke bottle minus the cap <- actual Title.
ex wifes underwear (unwashed) <-- actual Title.
Last ciggarette (BUTT) by a quitter, butt sealed in a glass case where bidding went up to $600.

Chucked out ex hubbies clothes still outside on the lawn in the mud. Her auction sold $300+ .

Some idiots will buy anything form an auction providing you have given a good enough reason to sell it. And then again some are just frigging perverts! :nope:

Trademe is a true success story in our country. Back in 1999 a young guy named Sam Morgan borrowed $600, of a mate, Sam a programmer created the Trademe website (first online auction site in NZ) and had 3 working around the clock running it. In 2006 he sold Trademe for 700 Million to Fairfax Australia.

Proves this statement more than true:

"If you nail together two things that have never been nailed together before,

some schmuck will buy it from you."--- Lenny Bruce

People are so dumb they would buy BLEEP if you rapped it up in a nice way.

And don't forget the famous XBox box, which ultimately sold for far more then the new XBox's were going for. And the auction clearly said it was an XBox box, not an actual XBox.

Always remember the line from Ron White: "you can't fix stupid".

P.S. This was the original listing:
"Up for auction is a mint condition, limited edition Xbox box. It has No scuffs or marks and looks rather nice. Use it to impress your friends by making them think you have a spiffing brand new crystal xbox sat at home, or carry it around town in a see through carrier bag to be the envy of geeks everywhere. This is the must have accesory for gamers."

The winning bid was £115.00 (starting bid was £0.01), but the seller killed the deal when it was apparent that the bidder was too stupid to actually read what they were bidding on.
