I have used the community manual for SHIII numerous times and found it really impressive.

Is there a similar one for SH4?

Whats wrong with the manual that came with.... oh nevermind
I use SubSim as my 'source'. Kind of supprised that no one has started a wiki page for SH4 though.

Now that is a great suggestion kanolsen (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=228293) and SteamWake!
Also could get the latest MOD readme's on there too.
Cheers,

There is one was surprised to find it myself, not much on it though.

The link doesn't work:cry:
I agree that a community manual for SH4, like the one for SH3 would be a great thing to have. It would mean that alot of the questions asked could be given answers in one place so others can find them without going through the history of the forum.

Agreed not much in there but I'm sure the SH3 manual started with the same humble beginnings

I think that's a great idea. I recently bought Destroyer Command (a Ubisoft product that came out with SH2 circa 1990) and was admiring the 70 page manual that came with it along with a 23-page reference booklet on the history of destroyers. There was pride in the product in those days. The nice thing about the manual is that in a few hours you know most things about the game, rather than having to spend days going fighting the game and looking up the solutions in these forums. That does not mean I haven't enjoyed the forums but having all the data in one spot would be more convenient for newbies.

All someone needs to do is put in a link that states:
Everything you wanted to know and then some here : http://www.subsim.com
Now the wiki is complete :p

With emphasis on the "and then some." Now we need a wiki on how to search through subsim.

I also miss the good tutorials that the good captains made for SHIII. I have checked the forum but there doesn't seem to be any good targeting maneuvering/evading/manual targeting and running around tutorials for SH4 or I'm mistaken?
Does anybody know about any good links?
Thanks in advance
Kanolsen
I recall there is a poster here early in the release of SH4 who started a manual based on information in the stickies combined with a WWII authentic manual. Haven't heard much about it lately.
