I have been playing the silent hunter 3 for a week now but I can not manage my men too well at the moment they seem to get tired just when you need them to do something like fire a torp or even move the boat.. I am very new to this type of game but am will to learn if someone has the time to teach me

Welcome aboard!
It's good to see another Aussie in the ranks. I can recommend that you download SH3-commander, a nifty little program that lets you adjust all sorts of things - including the fatiugue model. You can turn it right off. No more sleepy soldiers on board.
Just run a search through the forums, and I'm sure you'll find a download link. That is, if somebody doesn't post one here first.
---- EDIT ---- here's the site : http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/ (http://www.users.on.net/%7Ejscones/software/)
Thanks to JScones.

Welcome and Good Hunting!
Welcome aboard. As has been noted, there are quite a few free to download mods for SH3, ranging from simple tweeks in how your sub looks, to major facelifts and changes to how the sim plays. Like most things, you get better at them with a bit of practice and end up finding the style of play you prefer. When you know that, you'll know whether to stick with just a few tweeks, or add on some real hardcore mods to make life really tough. But most important of all is to have fun.
And if it is advice you are looking for, short of going back in time and joining the Kriegsmarine, this is the best place for it.

Welcome aboard SgtBayliss,
It's always great to have a Veteran here at Subsim. Only a grunt is nothing to say that it wasn't exciting. And I'm sure that you could tell us a few old salt stories.
What matters is that you served your country. That you stepped up to the plate and wanted to defend your home, says a lot about a man. Maybe somedays weren't as exciting as others. But you know what? We never get to pick our time in history, it just comes before you, and when it does you know what needs to be done.
So join us here, and live the life of a U boat Kapt, or U.S. Capt on one of the most exciting adventures you can have........
Welcome SgtBayliss! It sure is nice to see another soldier around here.
G'day from just down the road a bit! Welcome to Subsim mate! Good to see yet another Aussie join up!
