it's supposed to be the ENTER key, but in the naval Academy it didn't work. is that normal, and will that key work as intended in my career?:-?

If you're running GWX, it's been changed to prevent accidental launches.

I think it's shift + enter, or ctrl + enter.

Try those.

Yah, Cntrl-Enter.

You'll find that if it was just the Enter key like before, you'll accidently launch (and waste) torpedos, especially if you use the external cam! To move quickly with the external cam, you'll hold down the Shift key. I can't tell you how many times I accidently brushed the Enter key and heard the Torp launch sound with my XO yelling "Torpedo in the water!" :o

cntrl enter is to stop bernard from pressing the fire button which he calls it the big red shiny button.

With Cavaliers setkey you can easily assign any key or combination of keys to the FireTorp command.

I gotta wonder... the keyboards in Romania... are the enter keys like on the bottom of the keyboard or something?

Just can't figure out how that managed to make it thru the beta phase, the various patches, and even managed to persist into SH4?

:hmm: Hmmmm... I'm thinkin more like a new Logitech G11 or G15 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboards/&cl=us,en) keyboard. :yep:

with a full sized keyboard, tho, you're still hunting and pecking with a greater risk of maybe hitting the wrong key inadvertantly, unless it's Bernard then nothing's inadvertant:-?

Nahh... look at the G11 and G15 pics...

They've got an extra set/grouping of programmable keys off to the left.

I think the G15 has 8 "G-keys" and the G11 has like 16. They're also macro programmable on-the-fly!

I needed a new backlit keyboard anyway (the Saitek one I have is total crap!) so I placed my order last night. I'll report back and let you know what I think of em if anyone is interested.
