2 days ago i decided to come back to SH3 (after 2-3 months brake - i was waiting for gwx 1.4 but cant wait any longer...) but latest nvidia gfx drivers are casuing me trouble. Heres what happens: the graphic driver stops responding (as windows message says) after couple of minutes of playing; i cant even leave port. This problem occurs with forceware 163.xx series, only when playing SH3 and only if antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are enabled in nvidia control panel. I could turn them off but i dont even think playing SH3 without AA & AF.
I can also rollback my drivers to older version but before ill do that i want to ask you what nvidia drivers are you using to play SH3 (with AA and AF)?
I am using GeForce 6600 GT 256 MB.
Thanks.

I had the "driver has stopped responding and has been restarted" with any Nvidia driver, I tried them all, on my GF7950 card. Proved to be the card that was faulty, I got a 8800GT card instead, free of charge, and now everything seems fine.
I have just played GWX for 5 hours with 16xAF and 16Q AA and not a stutter or anything.
Vista 32bit, XFX GF8800, 320MB. Forceware 163.69. All Windows Update´s done plus the "KB940105hotfix".

Well, in my case it was forceware 163 series fault. Ive installed version 162.18 (latest official for win XP) and after 2 days of testing everything is fine with SH3 (with AA and AF).
But i envy you that GF 8800GT:yep:

Yes, some companies know how to run their support departments, in this case Komplett.se (www.komplett.se)
Returned the 7950 256MB card and got the 8800GTS 320MB within a week:up:
Seems to be a good trade of between price and performance.
