Well, for the first time since 1976, Canada's dollar is equal to the US dollar.:):hmm::-? I don't know what to think of it though; On the one hand, there is the national pride element, and the fact that I can buy Axis & Allies War At Sea Miniatures cheaper on eBay :arrgh!: - it will be good for importers in general. On the other hand, it will hurt Canadian exports, and that won't bode well for our economy. All obvious conclusions that anyone could have come up with, I know, but still true.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

All the Canadain shops along the boarder must be missing the "tip" from americans buying goods listed with canadian prices in American dollars.

Here in Australia, the Aussie dollar is starting to head back to record levels against the U.S. This is making it harder to compete in the U.S. for bussiness (especaliy after the Free trade agreement!) At least it's keeping the petrol price in check! (for the moment...:-?)

I'd say its a great time to pull some $$$ out of Canada! I've had investments sitting up there for 10 years because of the terrible Canook dollar. This is great news for me!
