I read this in another forum, and after picking my jaw off the floor I thought I'd share with you guys....
It's a scratch-built 1/72 model of the Big E, CVN-65. Took the maker 19 years to make :eek:

The model in the yamoto museum in Japan is impressive in terms of size, finish and detail, let alone setting!

The level of detail in that model is nothing short of amazing. I was waiting for that Tomcat to take off! :rock:

I give him credit for keeping inspired for so long... How many people would have built it a 1/4 of a way and just given up.

I think he'd be lucky to have a wife after that effort.:o I would love to have it, but the wife wouldn't want to give up any space that's reserved for her antiques, dolls and other collectables (I just content myself with the computer in the back room to play SH3 and SH4)
