View Full Version : Elusive Aleutians
I am trying the Aleutians campaign in TM6, but after completing the requirements of three missions, during which there was no contact with enemy vessles, nor any radio messages concerning them, my captain was forced to retire for "lack luster performance"
This kinda irritates me considering I was able to complete the mission objectives (patrol kiska) which gained me reknown, and yet my skipper is treated like a worthless putz, mearly because no targets presented themselves.
How do I carry on the Aleutians campaign if I can't get to the period of time the aleutians became a semi active war zone?
That's a bit of a problem. I think i released a TM add on that added a patrol to Paramushiro to that "flotilla." That certainly helps. The reality is that there is traffic from mid 42 to mid 43. That's it. The rest of the war the S boat skippers there were forced not to see contatcs cause there was nothing there to see.

you'll have to be in port, and of course since your next mission is picked when you put in, you won't get this right away.
This would go on top of TM and let it overwite what it will (the UPC files).
The paramushiro patrol happens the whole war, and there is at least traffic there. It was actually missed somehow in the 1.6 release.

tater, did you ever fix the problem with no targets in Massacre Bay for the player to photograph? I've not run an Aleutians campaign in a while, so I wondering if you'd done any more work in this area.
Doh! Not sure, need to check. I boprrowed the missions from beery (along with the entire flotilla), but he had missions and no traffic at all...

Once things are partched up, coudl you post the patch in the TM1.6 thread too?
Yeah, I'd like to make sure it's fine though first. It should be, but I can't test right now.
