Ive decided to do a patrol in real time. Im picking this one up 2 days into the patrol though on the way to grid BE31. I just didnt want to start over. The next patrol will be 100% real time though.

Im going to be posting daily (gametime) patrol reports at the end of each day in the game. I wont leave the computer running 24/7 but ill try and get as much as I can in each day.

The first report should be available tomorrow or the day after, but ill give some details as to whats going on right now since its the beginning of day 3 of the patrol. Its currently 0621 ingame.

Left Wilhelmshaven on September 1st, 1939 at 1313.

U-33 Type VIIB
Mission: Patrol BE31 for 24 hours.
Date: September 3rd, 1939
Time: 0621
Current Location: AN49
Range to course end: 3059 km

Captain's Report: The weather is horrible outside, dove to 25m for now. Will give another update on this in my daily report at 2300. If you have any suggestions on my course id be more than happy to hear them. Ive decided to sail around Great Britain because ive had some bad luck in the channel and dont want to risk my crew and boat.

Here are some pictures I took off my Navigation Map and around the boat in general.

Ah, cool.

There was a man, years ago, that did this. He kept us upto date with his 1 TC career and I swear you could see the poor guy going ever so slightly mad.:yep:

I don't think you are going as far as he did but your reports are welcome.

Do us one small favour please. When taking a screenshot, press numpad (.) to remove the dials/menu bar.

Look forward to your reports.

Curious. In 1939, I would always take the Channel passage. I've always been able to get through the channel in '39, and there's almost always several lone merchants to pick off along the way (just avoid undo commotion while actually passing through the Calais gap - I slip through there submerged at night, and quietly).

If taking your route, I'd take a bit of a side trip down towards Isle of Skye - always some lone merchants in The Minch or moving through The Little Minch.
