Deck gun and AA guns Destroyed message

I've got a niggling problem, everytime I start a patrol I get a meesage that says my deck gun and AA gun have been destroyed. It appears even before I do anything, its there on the message bar. Anybody know what causes this or a way to cure it.

I'm using GWX 1.03 and Sh3 commander don't know if that has any bearing on it?

What other mods do you have enabled ?

What submarine are you using? Do you get the message every time or after you load a saved game. If this is the case is your boat damaged ? (i.e. your hull integrity is less than 100%)

The message appears every time I start a new patrol. after the loading screen the messages deck gun destroyed and AA guns destroyed are there right from the start.

By the way its not just a message my deck gun and AA are actually missing when I look on external view

I've also had this without the message, I just can't get a DG or any AA even though I've equipped my boat with them

Perhaps it may help to remember when this started to occur?
Or pick a starting point / port when this happens exit and save. Uninstall all the smaller mods and make sure it does not occur with just GWX 1.03 and Sh3 commander by starting from a point before last exit. Then slab other mods one at a time.

Yeah might be an idea IIRC it seemed to happen when I added some new skins maybe something to do with that was working fine with GWX and SH3 commander before.

Just to update I removed all mods so was just left with GWX and didn't load through SH3 commander and I have no deck guns or AA at all anywhere career missions, training missions etc. So somehow I've lost the files for deck guns or something like that might do a clean install. Think it might have something to do with a crash I had that froze my system I basically had to pull the plug to reboot.

If your not able to go back to an earlier save when everything was okay (which is highly doubtful), you'll probably need to reinstall the game :hmm:

1. Uninstall SH3 via Windows' "Add/Remove programs"
2. Open Windows Explorer and:
- *delete* the folder where you had installed SH3
- *delete* the \My Documents\SH3 folder
3. Reinstall SH3
4. If your SH3 did not come with patch v1.4b already included, install patch v1.4b. Ensure you install the patch that corresponds to your copy of SH3 (Download/DVD/EMEA/US)
5. OPTIONAL: Copy and paste this "clean" install as a backup to avoid the need to follow steps 1-3 if your game becomes corrupt in future
6.Download into the SAME folder GWX.exe and the five .bin files. While there grab the v1.03 patch
7. Run GWX.exe and follow the installation prompts
8. Run GWX103.exe and follow the installation prompts
9. SH3 COMMANDER USERS: Download the GWX 1.02+ Cfg files for SH3 Commander and unzip the contents DIRECTLY into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.
