Previous psychological studies have found that conservatives tend to be more structured and persistent in their judgments whereas liberals are more open to new experiences. The latest study found those traits are not confined to political situations but also influence everyday decisions.

You have got to be kidding....

"Do you think Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?"

It's more more hospitable planet than Venus, so I am glad about that! :smug:

Mars - Cool, calm, and collected

Venus - Hot tempered, violent, deadly

Liberal or Conservative, they're both in need of having their collective heads banged together....

I belong to the "Common Sense Party". My parents were of the WWII/Depression generation, and while I suppose this is supposed to make me a boomer, I missed that generation altogether. I grew up understanding that nothing is black and white, politicians lie and life is very complex.

Like Chris Rock, there are things that I'm conservative about, and some things I'm liberal about. I like to think things through, and formulate an opinion based on what I know to be rational and logical, and about some things, I have no valid opinion.

Conservative Views:
Law And Order, a strong military and security apparatus (pretty wacky for a Canadian!!), fiscal responsibility, laissez-faire Capitalism and a proactive and responsible immigration policy. Add to that, an assertive social engineering policy aimed at enhancing the empowerment of the individual, coupled with an expectation of personal responsibility and active participation in the community-no tolerance policy for slackers!! All for one, and one for all!! Loosen restrictions on gun ownership, i.e.: rifles and shotguns ONLY.

"Liberal" views: Decriminalization of MJ, universal health care, free post-secondary education, a ban on corporate welfare, sound enviromentalism, sustainable agriculture policies, social engineering aimed at creating a just and racially non-biased society. A ban on capital punishment-it doesn't work. Also; a ban on handguns and assault rifles. They have no place in a civilized society; for police and military only!

No opinion: Abortion. It's a woman's issue, and seeing as the Great Architect has deigned to supply me with a Willie, I am not allowed to impose any opinion on this matter. NO BOYS ALLOWED!
