"Glad you could join us. As many of you are aware, this morning we were attacked by the spineless Japanese at Pearl Harbor and this afternoon here in the Phillipines.
We, the submarine fleet of Manila, are the only fighting force in the Pacific that is currently capable of taking the fight to our enemies door without delay. I want each of you to ready your S-class vessels and be ready to leave on patrol by daylight tomorrow, December 8th. At the president's request I have determined 5 areas where we will most likely encounter the enemie's assets. Choose one of these areas and make me proud! Two of these areas are considered extrememly dangerous and should only be patrolled by the veterans amoung you. Some of you may be new skippers recently arrived from the states. Your vanilla training is not adequate for this assignment. I need only the skippers knowledgeable in the Trigger Maru 1.5 or 1.6.x doctrine."

"I will expect a full report here upon the completion of your patrol. You are all aware of the required format:"

S-### (S-class)
Dec 8, 1941 Manilla
Patrol zone [area name]
Auto-TDC or Manual TDC

[brief narrative of actions and unusual events that may occur during your patrol]
Photo documentation of enemy sinkings for confirmation. You may also include a chart picture showing the sink location. I doubt any of you can afford the new colored photo devices, so a standard black and white 640x480 picture is expected.
