View Full Version : how to complete a patrol
I was ordered to patrol off Honshu. I sank a few ships on the way, then patroled around the destination icon till I ran out of torpedoes, then went home.Never did get credit for completing the assignment. What is the trick?
I also am looking for data on the test depth for each class of sub. Is it published anywhere? Thanks! Joe S

I believe for a patrol you have do it for 48hrs also it has to be within 55nm. I read this on a post awhile back and works for me. I usually draw a circle with my compass and patrol that area. The star should go gray after that time line. Hope this helps. As far as a deploy order you have to sink a certain tonnage. I just finished a order to Carolina islands sank Medium OSF and Large Modern Tanker total tonnage 15492 and this took care of that. I think it has to be over 10000 tonnage to move on.
Above post would be correct for Stock/patched game, If you play TM1.6 it is 200-240nm for 48 hrs. and merchant tonnage 2000 tons :arrgh!:

KTRboston was right: for Honshu the radius in km is 100 which delivers
about 54nm. I recommend a circle with 50nm which you should not leave. The time for Honshu is 2880 minutes which is 48 hours or 2 days.
If you leave the zone the timer will start new (i think).
Only Sulu has smaler radius with 75km. All other patrols have 100km or larger.
