tho not instaled...yet. got about 18 months till the end of SH4. not gonna expect the grafix to be the same, but oh well. also not sure how it's gonna be to sink allied shipping rather than the enemy, ie; nazis, tho if i spend a lotta time on the murmansk run sinking russian ships, that just might make up for any guilt:ping:

Try stock SH3 for a week, then go over to GWX...you'll notice a BIG difference.

danke sehn. heard about GWX and how great it is. might do with SH3 what i've done with 4, where i've got over 30 enabled:o , jsgme those mods i like to give it a more....personly feeling, but i'll see how GWX is:ping:

edit: there's one thing i wish SH4 had that 3 has. the version i got has wall chart that i'm gonna have to find a place for, and a keyboard key map, tho i'll setup a profile for my ideazon FANG cuz that is perfect for Silent Hunter

Welcome aboard Mr S Bait:up: I really would give GWX ago,it totally is fantastic,and with version 1.04 coming soon whatever your sinking,you'll be blown away with how much detail and content there is,Oh,and give SH3Commander a try,it really helps to immerse you into the game,not only a face to your captain and crew but so much more for you to personalise your GWX experiance:rock: you will not regret it thats for sure;)

thx. got the Pacific to finish up first, tho, which should be about when 1.04 is out. this'll be my 2nd sub sim, the 1st being SH4 . you should have a look at what they did to the water in it:rock:

SH3 is a great pick.. I bought a copy in late July, through Amazon, for $16 with shipping. Easily the best $16 I've spent in a while, and after modding it with GWX and Sub Commander.....it's immersive as hell. Enjoy SH4, and when you're ready to play a little cat and mouse in the North Atlantic, jump right in with SH3!!

BTW -- Don't feel bad about sinking Allied merchants or warships. Given the chance, they'll gladly do the same to you. :lol:
