It is possible to change the U-boot speed in some cfg files?

Thanks

Hello!

Yes, it's possible. Go SH3/Data/Sub. You'll find files for every boat in the game, also for non-player boats (if you have certain mods installed).

What are you planning to do? Just curious, I did some changes recently my own (3rd time maybe...) I tried to find realistic values for different speed settings taking account that I use the Cmdr's ability to make changes in wave hights etc. This meant I had to give a little boost for boats top speed or I couldn't reach the top speed if the wind speed was more than 3-5 m/sec.
I also changed values for every speed setting. All ahead slow was the hardest part, but I think I got it right. Now it's something 7-8 knts on the surface for the VII-class, so I have to give a different order to make 6 knots, modelling the order to leave just one engine on the line. Recently I found a table for different speed settings from the picture taken from U955. It was very helpful. The trick was to get values for both diesel and electrics to fit and sit together. This I couldn't get to be as it was in the RL but really close anyway.

Hope this helps.

Oh I once set a Type IID to travel at 100 knots flat out. What a beast, when you crash dived, it literally went from the surface to 50m in a blink of an eye. Though ces't la vie, I don't approve of cheating.
