:yep:
Absolutley, IMO, parents should let their kids be kids and enjoy their childhoods, not putting poltical ideas into their heads.
Of course its propoganda. Now are most children's books some form of social conditioning designed to impart subconsciously onto unspoiled minds a preferred form of moral realism? Yea. Is this different? Yea cause this one is political. The only people who are supposed to prejudice you politically are your parents. And it should stay that way.

Not really. I'd call it a stupid novelty idea to try and make a buck. In six months the site will be gone. It will probably be one cent per dollar to the Democratic party if she/he even follows through at all.

"Propaganda is the deliberate, systematic attempt to shape perceptions, manipulate cognitions, and direct behavior to achieve a response that furthers the desired intent of the propagandist." Source: Garth S. Jowett and Victoria O'Donnell, Propaganda And Persuasion, 4th edition, 2006.

Dunno about the website but that book has been around for a few years now.
I'd slash my wrists with a rusty pocketknife before I considered myself a neocon, but I really wish I hadn't seen that.
Yech.
Yes that is propoganda . . . but both sides (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0976726904/qid=1097359582/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_2_1) are guilty of it.
Worse than propaganda.....it's indoctrination.

Good lord! It's going to hold a childs attention for a week. They are more interested in the pretty pictures then the words. You guys act like parents will shackle them to there kiddy chairs and brainwash them with the book. Come back down to earth. :rotfl:

I agree 100%.
Strange, Ive never seen anything remotely like this in the UK.
We are far more cynical on the whole and have been since the split from Rome.

The problem here is that we don't teach history as well as we should, not just world history, but our own as well. Therefore, we, as a people, have nothing to reflect current events against.
