This is a link to a sweet Wolfpack documentry. Don't use Internet explorer. (It doesnt work for me, I have to use firefox.)

I have the extended series of 23 episodes that covers the whole war, but this one is just on the Battle of the Atlantic.

Ah the World at War... the best mainstream documentation of the war ever. I have them on cd, but still a wonderful link! :know:

The title music and reels always give me shivers... as it should I guess.

Made me smile when i read this posting. My wife had retired for the night with a book so i thought ahhhhhhh yes time for me to put out to sea again with the GWX. But like i suppose a lot of us do, a quick look at a video or cd on subs is in order. Das Boot? much as i love it after about 20 or more viewing's of it, perhaps a change is in order. So out comes my World at War package and of course the one i watch is the wolfpack video..

The World at War i think is one of, and most probably the best buys of all time if you have any interest in the WW 2 period what so ever. I bought the whole serious on video years ago (cost me a small fortune then) At the price you can get it at now on CD its a steal I feel.

I remember watching most of this series on the History Channel, if I remember right. They were really good.

hi hunters

World at War runs almost continually on the UKTV HISTORY channel (no.12) around 10.00pm through the week. its taken off at the end of the series, but starts again a month or so later, as you say, its a classic.
i was watching it last night, its about a 1/4 of the way through.
also, try HITLERS LOST SUB on dvd.
you can get it from amazon, region 1, but it played alright on mine - england.
type in NOVA: HITLERS LOST SUB.
narrated by roy (jaws) shcieder. i think the middle section is all about the wolf packs, in some depth aswell; great documentary about a lost sub off the east coast of america two divers found - it took six years to identify it....

i wont say anymore than that...

go see !

I did at first, but on their site somewhere it actually says firefox works better, so after I installed the latest version of firefox it works just fine.

For whatever reason, and I don't like firefox... Couldnt pass this up though.
