hi to everyone i have joined this forum to ask a question about this game, i really want to buy this game and nearly have on several occasions but one thing has stopped me every time. the starforce software. i was just wondering what problems it can cause if there is a way to uninstall it.

There have been some complaints, but by-and-large most players (myself included) have reported having no problems at all.

Chances are that if you buy the game today, not only will it be fully patched to 1.4b already but it may be starforce free.;)

I bought SHIII at release, havnt ever had to try to remove starforce or even mess with it. It gives me no woes cept loading up before it loads up. What I mean is, it takes a long while to check the CD to actually make sure its the SHIII disc before it loads the game...

when I first heard about the starforce thing
I looked into it. IMO the rumours are huge
and the danger Minimal at best I dont know
anyone personally that has been affected
by starforce "Wiping out there drives"

I think that its a bit overblown.
Buy the game at todays prices
buy it twice.

There is no know cure, but then again, none of us are looking for it! Are playing the stock standard version of the game, you may want to download one of the excellent supermods that are avaible. GWX is the big favourate at the moment, a new and final update is being worked upon as we speak.:up:

No problem with starforce, even with Vista (although I did have to upgrade it for Vista - no surprise there).
