If you look for the ultimate book, I recommend the last book to you.
It contains numerous b/w photos, drawings, color profiles, sea charts and specifications. (Language: English)

It is almost all submarine Captains contains, Submarine classes I, II, VII, IX, XXI, XXIII, all about the small combat Units like: "Hecht" (Pike), "Hai" (Shark) "Seeteufel (Seadevil), "Tümmler" (Dolphin) and many more.
The price in Germany amounts to approximately 100 Euro for it (~ 131 USD)
However, it may be very dearly that itself rewards !!

I even bought myself this book approximately one year ago, and it became a manual for me.

Deutsch: "Allzeit gute Fahrt und immer eine Handbreit Wasser unter dem Kiel".
English: "Always good trip and always a hand width water under the keel".

Best Regards from Germany..

I have the first two. I like them both, especially the first one. It has well written text about the u-boats in WWII that is condensed quite a bit. Makes it easy to read a chapter or two without needing to commit a lot of time. I'll often refer to it to see what they have to say about the time period I am currently experiencing in the game. The photos are nice as well.

That's right....it was me...I seldom see you over there now....when you do appear you only seem to hang around for a second or two.
Thanks...I'm sure this book will complement the other reference books I already have
