How to end a patrol

Dear folks, i have just a quick question: i want to dock at pearl harbour but it only give me the chance to refit or postpone.......why? I cannot either dock at midway, only refit or postpone, why?



Im playing with patch 1.3
I reached my 3 objectives during the patrol and im out of torpedoes and ammu, and very short with fuel
Iam patrolling since 2 months
I want to dock as i want to install some mods
At the moment I have only 1 mod installed (OakGroove's SH4 Submarine Instruments Mod (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=118902))

There is a way to dock somehow? There is a way to know the starting base as i do not remember well?

I am not certain. Are you asking how to end a mission? If so, in my experience you must 'loiter' around the 'map binocular star for a while until it turns grey. Then you will see your mission complete. You then may return to base.
Otherwise, play all you want. It is a BIG sandbox.

Start the game and look thru your messages . Did you get a message saying "operational news recieved" . A change of base maybe .

look in your saved game files, open the file of your last saved game, or if you havent, save it real quick, and scroll down to you see homebase. you may have had a base change mid patrol, happened to me quite a few times. C:\Users\owner\Documents\SH4\data\cfg\SaveGames

then i had another objective and then a 3rd one. Now i have reached all my objectives and iam back to pearl harbour, but it does not allow me to dock, only refit or postpone.....why?

When I was skipper of the USS Gar in early '42, a week at sea from Pearl, I received a base change order - from Pearl to Freemantle.
