im begining to like it more and more. personally i think its better than some of the stuff thats out now. and btw im 19. i even listen to the 40s channel on my moms XM radio when im driving her car. now that i got my own car, a 1990 Boneville, i wish they had a channel like that on siruis, since thats what i got.

These aren't downloads, just listings of the biggest hits of each year. On the left is a list that lets you see hits for every year, going back to before there were recordings to listen to.

The wavefiles I indicated in my previous link don't play in the game (yet) as there sample rate is too low (I've downloaded from that link and they play fine in Media Player but not in the game). I noticed the ones that work in SHIII are 64kbps whereas the ones I've indicated/downloaded are 20kbps. I'm just trying to figure out a way to 'convert' them.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

UPDATE: I converted the .wav files to 64kbps .mp3 and it works fine. The only minor point is that the music isn't very loud compared to the engine sound so you may have to adjust your sound settings in 'options' to find an optimal balance.

If you want just news files, http://www.archive.org/ has tons. Go to Audio, Radio Programs, then Old Time Radio.

That's some cool stuff; especially when it's 'introduced'. It really adds to the feel.

My thanks as well.
