Got a new boat but no targeting

still kinda new at SH4,

I started in the Asiatic Fleet and got a promotion to a new boat out of Perl. I promoted my crew and refit.

My first mission is "of course" patrol the Phillipines. I ran into a convoy and started my attack run.

In my previous missions I could go to the attack map and I saw 1 line for the course of the target, and one line for the course of my torpedo with the time to impact etc....

Now, after my promotion and new boat, I still get the course line of the target, but no track line for my torpedo. What gives?

I don't get the track line for my targeting either. I have stock-unmodified SHIV patched right through from start to finish 1.3. I have appled each patch as it comes out and have seen the results of other patch improvements, but not this particular one.

I'm starting to seriously think of starting a new carreer although I hate throwing the investment I made in this one.

-PV- Exact same problem as I am having. I'm patched to 1.3 and this only started when I was offered a new boat out of Pearl. As I mentioned, my tracking indication line while in the attack map has just disappeared after getting the new boat. I don't have a whole lot of experience yet and really depended on that feature to score any hits. I've tried the manual targeting but it's still a little bit over my head.

Any ideas? Anyone?

This is a known bug: when crossing the 180 degrees meridian (a bit west of Midway, I believe), you loose the torpedo track. THis was *supposed* to have been fixed in 1.3 but it's not.

Some modders addressed the issue by shifting the Outside starting point of Pearl Harbour from the default to some 100miles west of Midway, which puts the boat past the 180 meridian thus avoiding the bug until the sub returns to port (at which point the torpedo track is irrelevant).
