Just got back from my first long range patrol across the pond (the atlantic) to Halifax (have done before on stock, but not on GWX). Im glad to report that I made it there and back in one piece, but did not sink much - 5 ships for 19500 tons.
This was due to the fact that the weather there and back was really bad - Gale force winds, 25% of my torpedoes malfunctioned! (i'll think I will have a "quite" word with my local Quartermaster about this).
I did have convoys near me, but most were either going in the wrong direction to me, or the weather was too bad to intercept.
Despite all of this, im still happy with making it back and my next patrol is down to the canary islands - so i'll hopefully sink a load of lone merchants:up:
