I finally got a hold of a copy of SH4 after spending 1,5 years in the Uboat war I thought it was time to transfer to the pacific...:D

Patch it up, TM1.5 and a hi-res skin.. (afcourse I am forgetting some great mods).

Yeah, there are lots of great mods out there, TM is a good one as FF mentioned.

Play it vanilla first! Once you do this, then you can see what you want to change to make it better for you!

That was exactly my thought....did the same with SH3 played the stock version for a campaing or so and then installed the several mods like IUB,NYGM,Warace and of course the GWX mod..:sunny:



Am now looking for the link to download the 1.3 patch......did you all get a bonus disc to when purchasing the game? I got a bonus disc but haven't been looking at it yet...

Currenlty I have living breathing ocean and a few texture mods. I'm not ready for the larger mods as yet.

I would reccomend the key fix so you don't have to learn a new keyboard setup.

CCIP did the mod and it was genius.

Also the HUD mod so you know what you have switched on.

Those two alone make it easier to get used to game faster IMHO.

A few install tips for you

Defrag your fixed disk first.

Get your registry in order.

Install the game, immediatly re-boot your computer.

Install the patch. Re-boot again (just to be safe).

Lastley save early and save ofter :D

Its a great game even better with mods. Enjoy !
