View Full Version : Does the refuelling stop and new patrol count as a real patrol for SH3?

Did a search but didn't see this asked. I want to refuel at a different port (need the fuel I burned off on the Norway battle, 1/2 the torps left) and I get the usual NULL port when I leave. That's fine, but my worry is it's actually a new patrol and with SH3 and real life career lenght turned on, doesn't that mean I'm blowing a patrol in my career?

Thanks

Yes it does count as a full patrol. You will also get a full new torp loadout and damage will be repaired

It does count as a full patrol, but since the assignment is "null" you will not get credit for reaching your patrol area and patrolling it for 24 hours.

Bah, thanks for the confirmation though. Think I'll load an earlier save, get into a shipping lane, kill the motor and bob around for a couple of weeks so I can burn off those torps instead of going for a refuel.

Got HMS Nelson and an Illustrious AC during the Norway invasion so can't complain

It will only cost you ONE career day though (if using SH3 Commander) :arrgh!:

Hmm, I was using SH3 but didn't do the exit and reload thing as I was testing how refueling worked.
Now 1 career day works for me, but does the increased number of patrols lower your career lenght, or is it just based on typical number of career 'days'? I wouldn't mind even losing 30 days, just don't want my career dropped in half if I'm refueling once for each patrol.

Thanks
