Where is my new rank?

Hello,
I was recently promoted to Kapitanleutnant, but on the main page my rank still reflects to old rank. Do I have to complete a patrol with my new rank for it to recognize this?

Did you buy some new goodies for your boat after your promotion?

If you've spent enought renown on them, you may have fallen below the renown treshold for your rank of kapitanleutnant and you may have been demoted for buying expensive upgrades or torpedos.

This is a stupid :stare: bug.

I have the same "problem" but I was thinking the discrepency was a nice "feature" of SH3 Commander -- that it doesn't penalize for using renown on stuff.

I was promoted (according to my personnel file) to kapitanleutnant 4 patrols ago according to SH3 Commander (well, I sank the Hood and Ramallies, so they had to give it to me)... so I go by that, not the SH3 data in game.

As SH3Cmdr simply *reads* the associated data from SH3, it uses whatever data is saved by SH3.

Unless I am misunderstanding the term "main page", this is a well known SH3 bug. If SH3Cmdr recognises the "right" rank, then ipso facto SH3 is storing the right rank, but just displays the wrong one from time to time. Just like it displays wrong sub type and other info on save games.

I completed another patrol and the rank at the main page reflects my new rank.
Thanks for all the info. I'm not sure what was the real culprit. I think that my renown is some 8800. (58% realism)
