All I ask:

1: Post a picture that stays on the topic.
2: Post an appropriate picture. That means no bomber gals (sorry guys:cry: ) that are naked.
3: Post ACTUAL pictures (no screenshots of games... for the people who couldn't understand that...)

To start:

I don't really want to see shots like that personally, it seems a bit like 'rubber necking' at a car crash.

PS, several of those pictures, such as the one from Jane's Fighting Aircraft of WW1 with the Albatross, are not actual photographs, but photo-montages. Genuine WW1 aerial action shots are extremely rare and usually very blurred, owing to the shutter and film speeds being too long and slow.

That's a great one Biggles. Unlike the B-17 cut in half in Memphis Belle, and everybody dying, that shot shows what happened when one was really rammed by a Bf-109.

the B17

in some cases it can be beaten up so badly and still bring you back home.
damn I'll be the crew and pilots could kiss the plane when they where safe home on the ground.

I think if you would award the Safest bomber in WW2
I guess the B17 will be the number 1

You see the holes in the wing?
Those were made by some bombs released by a captured B-17. The bombs didn't catch speed fast enough, so they just went straight through the wing and the bird still managed to get home to Britain.

I'd like to see you try that in a HE111!:arrgh!:
