I want to transfer to The 12th Flotilla. I tried the other night and somehow landed in the 30th. <gasp> What a god forsaken place. You cant tell me they really sent subs from...what is that ..the Black Sea or something?.. to the NE coast of The USA.
How long does a trip like that take? LMAO. It was kool cruising the med tho. There were some juicy targets. But in the end I reloaded an earlier game to return to that old familiar Lorient..Phew.
Anyways my question is ..What is the transfer system based on or is it just random luck? And since the 30th is underneath the 12th on the transfer page is it bugged in some way as to always "snatch" you if u apply to the 12th which is listed above? :damn:

@Seth: From what he's written he's talking GWX.

A date would help, as around Aug '44 12 Flotilla ceases to exist and you are automatically transferred to 30/33 Flotilla. ;)

PS, your comment re sending subs from teh Black Sea to the USA suggests that you haven't read the manul. I strongly recommend that you do as you'll find all your questions answered.

PSS: I make no apology for any spelling errors - I broike my left clavicle and one rib this morning and I couldn't be fluffed fixing teh typoes with my one hand typoing.

@JScones: Oki, mate, i just remembered that there were similar issues in another mod (the one-we-doesnt-speak-of, with all the stolen material..:p)
PS: How did you manage to get hurt, mate?? Are you ok, besides the clavicle and rib? Nothing serious, i hope?:o

Yeah, that entered my mnind too for a fleeting second, but he mentions 12 Flotilla and 30 Flotilla together - I don't think 12 Flotilla is in "the one-we-doesnt-speak-of" as it focusses solely on the Med.

Of course, if I'm wrong I'll happily cop the appropriate flak. :)

You don't want to know, LOL! Seriously, I simply tripped, lost my balance and fell.

You'll be pleased to know though that my just-purchased DVD boxset of "The Office" and my Bee Gees CD came out unharmed as my focus was solely on protecting them from damage, hence how I managed to thud down heavily on my left shoulder.

And with a 2 week old baby at home, my wife is not impressed.

At least I was already on three month's holiday. ;)

:rotfl::rotfl:Glad the DVD boxset & the Bee Gees cd survived!! But serious: It was a good thing that your baby wasn't involved, though... I wish you all the best for your recovery, mate! Now you're up for some real R&R!:up:

And NO I havent read the manual <shame>

Its just that I want to print it out and its like a bajillion pages...sigh.

BTW Im using the GWX as it comes from the initial download (no other mods) and the year is 42. I am just looking for the best base that offers the most L33T boats soonest. Cause I am greedy like that.

That's why God created work computers and printers. ;)

OK, getting closer, we at least now have a year. A month would be *really* helpful. ;)

Of interest is that 12 Flotilla does not exist until Jan 1943 (from the manual :yep: ;)). If you are in Oct, Nov or Dec, then I have a theory. However, if you are prior, then I think there is something wrong with your files/install, as neither 12 OR 30 Flotilla exist.

BTW, what's a "L33T boat"? Some kind of secret Kriegsmarine technology? :hmm:

Thanks guys.

@jimbuna - yes, a few people think that I went to extremes to get out of changing the baby. A few people also think that I just wanted to steal the attention away from my wife! :rotfl:

Personally, I think I'd prefer other less painful ways of doing so. :rotfl:

But it is funny watching my wife cut up my daughters' *and* my meals, LOL! Even if she doesn't think so.

Anyway, off soon to watch Wales thrash Argentina, the eternal optimist that I am. :)

@nikbear, yeah the Rugby. I must admit after the trouncing we got from you guys two weeks ago (62-5), I wasn't expecting much, particularly knowing that the Pumas are a passionate bunch and would be playing for the win.

But we got there...we shouldn't have won, but we did...
