This is the final straw, first I hear on the radio some council is chopping all there trees down fear of a conker falling on a child's head and causing brain damage. And now I read this, that is it. People of England we must stand against this evil and crush it in to the ground.

Balloon ban wipes smile off British clown's face

LONDON (AFP) - A British clown has had the smile wiped off his face after being told he couldn't use balloons in his act because children might be allergic to latex.

I like how they say that they have the welfare of children at heart. Obviously they have lost sight of the big picture I'd say.

:rotfl: O my god......

really I almost fell of my chair on this one...

if they want to have a low risk live...lock'em up in a isolated chamber

BUT there MIGHT be still SOMETHING they COULD be allergic for....a life perhaps...

I think it is time we all live in plastic bubbles just like John Travolta in his grand old move, 'The Boy in the Plastic Bubble". Anyway, they banned peanuts on commerical aircraft for the same reason...allergies. If people are allergic to latex....what will this do to the condom industry?:o They will be banned in all major gas station bathrooms and removed from the shelves at the local drug stores:o

If you think that's a new low for us just wait and see. ;)

I know every country has this sort of thing but what we got must be the grand daddy of madness. :nope:

Is that why I am getting the damn pretzels lately instead of my peanuts? I hate pretzels! I think they are descriminating against me! It is time I call over there and raise some hell about how they are descriminating against me!

"At this rate I will have no act left. Things are going from crazy to ridiculous," Baloney, from Sheffield, northern England, was quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Post regional newspaper.

"This country is going crazy with its political correctness and health and safety issues and it's making us a laughing stock."

Sorry England, but when a clown named Barney Baloney says something like that, it is either too late for you are darn close to it. :dead:

Pretzels? I hope they are salt free! What about those that need a low sodium diet? Good Lord....are we not safe anymore?

They do sell alcohol on these same aircraft don't they? That should be banned before my peanuts! Especially my honey roasted or candy coated variety! :D

:hmm: They didn't have that one at the souvenir shop. This was the best that I could do. I tried to hide the tea stains with the angle of the shot.

It's quite obvious a sizeable portion of the female teenage population are allergic to latex too

Actually, I am allergic to peanuts and it really is a large problem in an enclosed space like that. Just speaking from experience, here. Runny noses, itchiness, and coughs are 10 times worse when you're on a plane, at least that's what it feels like to me.

What about the poor people who are allergic to vitamin D? BAN THE SUN!!!

-Bort

While I like peanuts I can understand why they took them off of planes. For some people the smell is enough to cause reactions.

I don't think that has anything to do with the peanuts - that's just airline travel and happens to everyone.

In all seriousness, peanuts can cause problems for those allergic to them. Hence the removal of the suspected nut from the aircraft.

Which is exactly the point that I made had you read it closely. I said that because peanuts are an irritant, they make those symptoms ten times more likely.
