I stumbled over the old CD of Timeshock, Big Race USA, and Fantastic Journey, and sacked them more for a handful of cents than dollars, so to speak. I managed to get them running on WinXP without too much effort (patches, and only BRUSA needs windows compatability mode for NT4 + SP5). Whoooha! I knew timeshock from ten years ago or so, the PS1 version. I always liked Pinballs, but never played them much in my youth (did not have much money). These "convertations" are really exquisite, although on very rare occasions sometimes you wonder a bit about some one-second-long event with the ball physics, eventually.

Big Race USA has some grooovy soundtrack, with Timeshock also scoring in that regard. However, BRUSA is more accessible, and Timeshock must be the most complex and difficult pinball I know. It also suffwers a bit from that the speed of the table cannot be altered like with the other two (who were released later).

And that is my question. Does anyone know any way, triock, cheat or method how slow down the table a little bit?

Fantastic Journey is technically okay and certainly a complex thing, too, but somehow sound, music and idea does not grab me. It's an atmosphere thing for me. Also, it has one or two very suboptimal ball-routes leading into the unreachable middle of the two main paddles if they fall back from a certain ramp or get reflected from a certain corner.

I do not know "The Web". Is it running under XP? Is it worth to look out for? It was the first of the series.
