sonar control follow escort?

Is there a way to order the sonar man to follow the nearest escort? Its a little bit embarrassing to have an escort ram or depth charge your boat while you are engrossed in a manual tdc attack, with the sonar man calling out bearings of some merchant ship. Joe S
