So does the weather in SH3 / GWX ever get worse than 15m/s (Beaufort force 7)? Proper storms of 24+ m/s? Hurricanes? Never seen it yet.
Hm, I guess that's what SH3 commander's seasonal wave height option tries to correct.

It wouldnt want to, because you find it hard enough making headway if it was any worse than beaufort 7

no need. if the crew throws up il throw em out of the boat :arrgh!:
If the wind speed would rise above 15m/s I would just go down to >=50m and listen to some nice music all day long. The ships would probably just sink by themselves in such weather conditions :|\\

yea they would. but you wont get credit for that
As I am already underwater in this case I would just listen for creaking sounds of sinking ships around me. If there is anyone I just give the sinking vessel a torp at 50m depth and tell later that I sunk it. BDU will never know that this is a lie :sunny:

so just back on topic for a sec then. in RL how did u-boats cope in force 10 seas or above? did they just submerge and ride it out? even in real bad weather in GWX the bad weather never seems to end. i have sat below and on the surface (for air) for 2 weeks and the weather hasnt changed.
Plenty of recent threads on that subject over the last couple of months, if you want to edit the rate the weather changes just do a search.:yep:
