This is weird. What happened to lawyers and such? This is similar to the Democratic campaign taking out ads to praise themselves when the AMerican people are disgusted with them.

Well, it's not like they're making it up about the EC. Also, isn't comaprative advertising allowed in the US? This could fall under that...

Could it be thats why they are taking out ads? What exactly is wrong with it anyway?

Every once in a while there is a thread here in SubSim concerning 'what is your rig?', and far more often you see AMD as the processor. Business is often about niches and AMD focused and may very well have captured the consumer market, while Intell has the business market. I'd have thought that the consumer market was much greater than the business market. I guess that AMD doesn't like its margins, and want to break into the business world by accusing Intell of "unfair" practices.

I admit I know little of the computer business world but I do know business in general, and this seems like a means of competing through other means.
