Okay, so, I honestly did try to search the forums prior to my last (first :)) post, but this time I admit I didn't - sorry if this has been asked before!

So, I was playing SH3 (no, really) and it occurred to me, as I'm sure it has to others, that it would be kinda cool to play a campaign using only the 3D "first person" views, and using only the mouse to navigate around the boat, clicking on officers to issue orders and so on. You know, for the full experience effect, or whatever. I know I can put the keyboard to one side easily enough, but I also know that I just wouldn't be able to resist using the menubar thing on the left of the screen... so you can imagine how thrilled I was to discover that there's a mod that gets rid of it! However, there's a problem.

Normally, using the 3D views, right-click takes you "back" to wherever you were before. But not with certain stations, e.g. map and periscope. Right click does nothing there. Does anyone know a workaround for this? Is it possible to play this game using only the mouse without the menubar?

Yep, the shortcut keys.;)

If you get stuck at a station, just press F2 to get back to the control room.

If you only want to use the mouse, then there is no way to get back if you get stuck at a station, e.g Map or Periscope.

One workaround for returning to the Zentrale -- if you have a mouse with an extra programmable button, you could map that to the F2 key.

Also, if one has the hardware & software, voice-control is another possibility -- one of the projects I'm still working on.

Mach's gut!

I want to be able to get from the attack scope back to the conning tower, without using NumLock whatever (it's been a while:rotfl: ).

Also I wish the 'Dive' command defaulted to the tower, rather than the control room. I always use the mouse button to get me there, then give the 'Dive' command.
