Hey Crew, after corrupting my game at 1.3 release I gave this a miss for a while while the modders got to work. Upon my return (2 days ago) I began the job of downloading and compiling the mods I would use... The mods section gave me a few updates of old mods and some surprises also...

I wanted to take the time to thank all the modders.. (I did not vote for best modder.. I'm not sure how one would pick the best modder ^^) And since there are so many of you who have made great mods, thought I would just list what I used instead... If your mod is in the list then thanks a million!!

Brighter torpedo wakes
ParaB's fewer radio contacts
Realistic Crew Ranks 1.3a
SI HUD Kit
SI OPTICS Kit
SI PERISCOPE&TBT Interface Kit
SI Recognition Manual Kit
SS Hull Numbers
Taihosan Maru Fix (Jace11)
Better Leaks Mod
AHEAD 2-3 by Payoff
R&L_int_Periscopes_1.3
Kosh_Stealthy_Sub_v1.22b
SI INTERIOR Kit
Kosh_9km_Visibility_Apr28_07
SILENT SERVICE 1.2c GRAPHICS MOD
LESS WATER LIMBER HOLES
DRB_JAP_US_GB_Airbases_VS3
SMALLER SEABED ROCKS

I have even changed some files in the mods I used... so there will be some modders (like map table mods, lenses etc..) who I would have utilised, but are not in the above list. So do not feel left out, I'm probably thanking you also ^^

'Trigger Maru' and 'Real Fleet Boat' are two other items in my must have list, your turns coming ;)

You seem to be missing the "living breathing ocean Mod", which caused quite a stir.

and the forthcoming 'environment mod'.

I looked at 'Living Breathing Ocean' it sounded like it might eat my fps, so I didn't incorporate it. I'm not saying it will, I just didn't trust my rig

I hadn't seen the 'Environment' MOD before.... the work looks unbelievable... the water in this game has always been more of an eyesore than an immersion asset. Even found myself pineing for SH3 water

Having these two 'Ocean effect' mods seperate could be useful if the FPS remains a problem. But I see what you mean.... the re-colouring made such an incredible difference.. Its already a must have :p

Thanks for the heads up con20or.

No problem. Seem to be mixed reports on FPS hits, try it maybe. Its included in TM 1.4, so if you install that you got it!

If you get the mod enabler, download the living breathing ocean and have the enabler install it. Run the game and see how your FPS are. If you take a serious hit on FPS, just use the mod enabler to take it out. Great tool for testing mods on your rig.

If you are reffering to JSGME then no problems.... its the main way I run all mods. I'll just drop out Kosh 9km Vis mod for testing... But for gameplay I would have to stick with the 9km if I had to choose between the two.

Thanks mate ^^
