lv's gonna like this when he reads it: "the impressive new waves and chop are convincing enough to make you lose your lunch." Mahood knows sims. read the first part of that in PCGamer. it's the best praise all the modders can get, recognition in a well know gamer magazine that's well deserved:rock:

Holy ****. You know, i really wasn't expecting press coverage or anything. I like to think this is a small community, and ..err well... yeahh.. no pressure at all now! nope!
:damn:
I am unhappy that they only cited my name on the TM modpack. I wish they included the credits or at the least made a plug for the mod community as a whole, as ultimatly its the result of community efforts.
I am extremly happy that i choose to host the mod on rapid****e and filefront, cause the bandwidth pull now with this kind of coverage is liably to make me exceed my servers alotted bandwidth.

Strategy #1: You can just swap with Beery and answer criticism about his deck gun's rate of fire. Let him handle your AI questions for awhile!
Strategy #2: Tell complainers to get SH3 and GWX to play with some REAL tough destroyers without benefit of thermal layer and with a U-Boat that is 1 kt slower than an American sub.
Strategy #3: Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead!
Trigger Maru 1.3 is amazing and I can't wait for 1.4!

Shut up and take the praise.
Well done to you all. The mods mentioned certainly deserved it.

There are so many of us in here that have done so much work for the game but to be noticed and writen about is just beyond anything I imagined. I thought I did good with the Airbase NAV mod but never expected Living Breathing Ocean to impact everyone like it has. I guess the past 2 weeks of work I have been doing to make it better and solve all the visual problems some had noticed is worth the work work and sleepless nights.
But Ducimus is right there are a lot of guys Mod's incorporated into TM and it's too bad they didn't mention them but I guess sometimes readme's are ignored unless it is to learn how to make the mod work.
I feel like I just won an Oscar!

It makes me feel like crap that they didnt mention it was a result community modding. The way they painted it, you swear i made the entire thing. And my readmes are ALWAYS ignored. 8 out of 10 innane questions i get, i can point to the readme's that nobody ever reads. Except for credits, i might just stop documenting things altogether, seems to be a waste of my time.

Nice to see a very positive story about SH IV.That the mods and their creators were given credit is simply outstanding.I feel privledged to be a small part in what is a great sim, with a great bunch of people.

In my earlier days here I was one of them ^^^, but you live and learn right :yep:
Now I try to make it a point to read em', it usually answers the question, plus you learn something about the whole modding process.
I answered a post in a " Radio Mods " Thread a few minutes ago, mentioned to the poster of the thread to check out the read-me stuff when installing one of those mods.
Anyway, your stuff does get read by folks here, and is appreciated, same goes for other modders.

Don't mind me, im bitter about it, and i admit it.

Interesting idea. :hmm:
I wonder if anyones noticed how non verbose my documetation has become. I used to list specifics, i dont anymore. partially because their not really read, and partially because it took too much of my time. The time i spent typing a detailed readme that few pay attention to, is time not spent on making stuff work.

I think of it more as you are " honest about it ", nothing wrong with that Ducimus.
Anyway, looking forward to the next Trigger.
