Not sure my patch 1.4 worked but i have the CD version. I installed some patches for game enhancement.

Is there one that will allow us to use the type XXI sooner in the game?
and is there a add on that makes the crews more automatically managed? Sometimes the crews can become a micromanagement

Use SH3 Commander and tick the 'no crew fatigue' box :arrgh!:
