I'm going to be upgrading to an Intel QX6800/4 gigs of memory and an NVIDIA 8800 GTX card. My question is will SH4 work with this video card? Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm a noob here.

The reason I asked is I don't see this video card on the approved list on the side of the box or in patch 1.3 read me notes. Thanks

As long as your drivers are good, that card will make everything really smooth and pretty backed up by the rest of that quite awesome rig!! Welcome and may your tonnage be high!!:yep:

Yes of course ... I dont care how 'new' your fancy video card is might as well toss the disk that came with it and check for the newest drivers on their website.

SH4 was tested on 8800GTX too and it works GREAT :rock:

Not only will SH4 run on the system you stated, it also has the capability to launch the Space Shuttle and track the movement of he entire naval fleet....all at the same time:o . You will be just fine. BTW, when you ready to upgrade this system I will take the one you have now. Yours would eat mine for lunch:oops:

Usually better cards are numbered by a higher numbering system, and as long as your system card is so numbered, then it is downward compatable to the graphics of your application.

Remember, the specs on the game are listed as MINIMUM. Anything over those specs will be better. :)

Like the others have said, the 8800 series of cards work great with SH4. My 8800 GTS runs the game with nary a slowdown.
