Patrol Log Annotations

For some reason, I cannot post a screenie but maybe someone else can of their log. After a patrol, my log shows mostly jibberesh. It has all of my sinkings but they seem to be in code. Its been like that since version 1.0. For example:

August 11th, 1943, 00:14
Unit Destroyed: KMCSZinbu

This should have been a Large Modern Tanker.

Does your log show this or something easier to read?? Please advise.

The names its dispalying are the logical names. The names in which the program references them, they are not the acutal names. I really really hate this for many reasons. So our patrol logs, frankly, suck. Ive tried to get it to display the proper names, but my experiments in doing so have always failed. Im afraid It would take a 3rd party app to transform the logical names into real names unfortunatly.

I really hate this as well, I mean comeon, it cant be THAT hard for'em to implement them displaying the names they display ingame.. Can it? I've seen plenty of flight sims do it atleast..

Im going to take a guess that it was on the 'to do' list but ran out of time.

I think that is the "small old composite" not sure though.

Historically correct. This is how American intelligence referred to ships with engines placed near the stern.
