View Full Version : Torpedo Loading Problem

I have an IXB and I wish to have it loaded with G7e.

However, when I use Wolfies Tweek to set to loadout for all tubes to be G7e and I start my mission using Commander, the loadout that I requested is not correct. I know this because once I start the mission, and look at what torpedoes I have, I have a mixture of G7a and G7e, with more G7a than I want. So I have to restart the mission, go to the Uboat torpedoes and replace all the G7a with G7e and this reduces the number of G7e left in the office/uboat/torpedos.

Each time I start a mission and have to change the loadout, I noticed that the number of G7e available is less than the previous mission.

I am now down to only 6 G7e for loading in my next mission and that is not enough to replace the G7a.

Does anyone have a solution?

I think that wolfies and commander conflict it has to
be one way or the other wolfies is simple but commander
offers much for career and immersion options as well
as a variable thermocline. which can save your heinie.

Mmmmmh, your problem might be cause by one or more things..
1.- When you create the shortcut to the Tweak Sub file, you must edit the targeting Properties of the shortcut, adding "Wolfie" at the end of it.
2.- When you want to change the loadout, first you select a sub, then you select a year and then you change the loadout for the torps 1 by 1 or all at the same time with the option "Change All". After that, you must click on "Save" or on "Save for All Years". Normally, this should work.
3.- Make sure that there is no "copy of basic.cfg" file created in the same directory, if there is, then delete it.
4.- Make sure that the type of torp you are selecting is available when doing the same for other types of torps. Anyway, I think the tweak pack takes care of it....
5.- If all this fails, then you can change the loadout manually opening the basic.cfg file, located in SilentHunterIII\Data\Cfg Go for the loadout section for the sub you want to change and replace the number with 2 like (example only):

[SUBMARINE_AMMO2]; VIIB

Let me know if you need more help and if this worked or not.
There are some other things that can be done, but first let me know about this.

Thanks for the info Cap, on changing the file because I have wrestled with the Wolfies and Commander's conflict without success.

I just started another mission, so I'll have to wait until that is finished to let you know if the change to "2" works.

Thanks a lot.
