Mark O'Hara left jail without handcuffs Wednesday, two years after he went to prison and one week since an appeals court ordered him a new trial.

He was serving a 25-year sentence for having 58 Vicodin pills in his bread truck. Jurors weren't told that it is legal to possess the drug with a prescription, which he had.

There are a lot of murder cases from the 70's and 80's that need DNA testing to clear (or more accurately incriminate) prisoners. Our education system also isn't doing our judicial system any favors. It's going to get worse before things can get better.

I blame global warming.

It's true. Everyone I know who became a cop was a C Student at best in high school, or flunked out of college. If you have folks in the upper percentiles chosing careers in law enforcement you wouldn't have these issues.

But it doens't make sense to even become a lawyer (or a doctor for that matter)with the money you can make as a stockbroker with a simple BA. And stockbrokers don't pay malpractice insurance.

And as they say in law school:

A students become Law Professors
B students become Corporate Lawyers
C Student become DA's and Defense Attornies.
D Students become judges.
