On a whim, I went to find a new PC game last weekend, ended up getting SH4. This is my first time playing the SH series(but have played other subsims). The tutorials and videos found here have been helpful. But I was wondering if there are any convoy missions without escorts.

I want to be able to practice tracking, navgating, sinking ships(and in general, get used ot htei nterface) without dealing with escorts right off the bat. Even the convoy mission in subschool has several escorts. The torpedeo mission in subschool only has 1 ship to sink.

Any missions that would be good for noob target practice?

Well...I suppose if you really wanted to you could practice on those two juicy US merchant ships in the navigation tutorial....I have.

Does that make me bad? :nope:

Nope!....I just pretend i'm a big, bad U-Boat! :yep:

I've done it too, it's actually a very good suggestion. The ships steam along paying you no mind, providing a good opportunity to play with the TDC and track them. And when you're ready for some live-fire exercises.... :arrgh!:

Oh, and welcome to SH4!

Thanks guys, I'll give that a shot even though I still feel guilt from the time I sunk an American carrier in 688 Hunter/Killer :nope:
