Anyone else have this game? It isn't in stores yet in the US so I bought an import on Ebay. I patched up to 1.3, and it's giving me hell. It asks me to "please insert DVD" when the DVD is already spinning in the drive. Anyone know what's going on?

The reason I'm asking here is because the support people over on the official site haven't answered my emails at all.

Hmm you sure its a legit copy and not a pirate version prettied up to look legit? You would be surprised what they can do to make them look like the real thing, including proffessionaly pressed CD/DVD's rather then CD-R DVD-R, full packaging and manual.

The please insert DVD/CD message is usualy the copy protection saying that it cant find a disk that meets it's authentification requirements. It could be because the disk is a fake, or some problem with the copy protection interfacing with the hardware, or other programs running (cd burning tools, virtual drives that sort of stuff)

It could also be that the DVD is defective. Is anyone else having problems with the copy protection on their forum?

The one thing im fairly certain its not doing is checking the region/time zone to see if the person lives in europe. But if you wana make sure try switching your time zone and location to england and see if it then works. But if it was that it would usualy spit out some other form of message

All in all i have to say its better to wait for a game to be released in your country rather then importing it (save importing for that wont be released where you live). The reason being you could have problems with your hardware being different, or the program may not like the native version of the os your running, or it will only run on computers from the country of origin (this one is easy to change though). Worst of all is if you get a bad copy, or run into other problems as it would be difficult and expensive to return it.

The funny thing is though, that it runs perfectly (with the exception of the bugs I'm trying to get rid of) until I try to patch up. And TONS of people have this issue on the forum, but the response from the mods just say "I sent you an email" so there's not really any helpful info on the forums. I tried to contact them, but they've yet to email me back. In any case, if it IS a fake...I only paid five bucks for it anyway, so whatever.
