Hi all ive read http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=588571&postcount=1

but i still have problems using the stadimeter to correctly measure
the distance to a target.

im in the sub school, torpedo attack, and i have identified the enemy vessel to be a
mogami heavy cruiser. ive sent the mast height to the TDC, but when i activate the
stadimeter to find the distance it ALWAYS ends up at 9000 meters.. which clearly
is not the case (should be somewhere around 1000 meters)

When the overlay picture of the ship is directly over the vessel it reads 9000 meters,
and i cant figure out what i have done wrong.

any and all help appriciated.

nappy (only using 1.3 patch)

ps: forgot to say that i have locked the target from the moment i see it.

You don't overlay the standimeter image over the entire ship untill it matches.....

Take the standimeter image down to the top of the target ships masthead (top of the mast)...until it just touches.....

That will give you the correct range to send to the TDC.

Cheers!
