Hah! There you are! I'm Lt. z. S. Viktor Balz, sailor par excellance and nature's gift to the ladies. BDU just gave me command of U-53, they needed someone to win the war quickly. Before joining the Kriegsmarine in '35 I was mate on the Finnish sailing barque Teresa, engaged in the guano trade. Done 5 voyages around the Horn, that made me horny. From Buenaventura to Shanghai they know of Viktor Balz. In the USA they even named a port after me, Balzimore. Ha, ha, ha. I just completed a working-up sail to shape up the scoundrels who are my crew. We're sailing with the tide to give the British rum swilling sailors and their effete gin sipping officers a drubbing. I'm sure you're all very happy to see me and proud to be in the Kriegsmarine together with me. See you later, gotta make a couple of laddies happy before getting underway. :smug:

I saw the admiral. Don't know why he's upset I stole a bunch of electric eels from the store. I plan to use them against Tommies, not him. Actually, I think he wanted to steal my watch but wasn't quick enough when we shook hands as he wished me a bon voyage.

I got underway and sunk a small freighter on the 3rd day out. I tossed a couple of chickens and a bottle of schnapps to the wretches in the lifeboat. I also told them how to cook chicken a la Balz. :smug:

We're now on the Atlantic. Nasty weather came handy to cross Fair Isle passage. Of course, my superior navgational skill did not hurt. Food aboard has improved as I instructed Koch. Tonight's dinner was Schnitzel a la Balz.
