hello today i have got my new sh4 but there is one big problem when i start the game i cannot go on to quick mission multiplayer career mode or even musem all's i can do is sit in the main menu nothing works i have the 1.1 patch and still no joy :cry: so if enybody could help me i would be gratefull:cry: :cry:

Have you checked that your system meets the minimum spec for the game? SH IV is very "hungry."

If your set-up meets the specs, I can only suggest a total uninstall and a full reinstall:


I would also check that you end all unnecessary processes and switch off anti-virus if you use it before running the game.

Start with the basic "out of box" game and see if it runs. If it does .....

Download and install patch 1.3 and run the game. If that works install JSGME and then mods, checking that the game runs with each one.

i will get 1.3 but i have been looking all over the wed to find it last night but also i have uninstalld the game 3 times and still it will not work :cry: :cry: :cry:

i have nvidia geforce 4 i think but this is what it says

OK , when you installed the game it said do you want to install the files + direct x files + some other thing and game shadow . Make sure you tick everything to be installed except gameshadow if you dont want it . Install the game , dont run it , then apply the patch then restart the computer .

Graphics card
128MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card with Pixel Shader 2.0 I think here is your problem . I think GeForce 4 graphics card only supports pixel shader 1.X

I can confirm that the game refuses to start on geforce 4 cards.

I have left my pc for a year or 2 so i will update the mother bord cpu video card memory and stuff like that.

Plus when i get my pc up and running i will have all the patches installed.so happy days:D :D

i finaly got a new pc and it ripps sh4 to pices so thanks for the help guys.:rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: avgwarhawk you should get yer self in ther grease yer wife up and say well the kids dont have a pc and they are beeing left out.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
