how to patch

ok a simple question;
How should i patch this game. Should i do a fresh install and then go strait to 1.3 or should i do a fresh install then patch 1.1., 1.2 then 1.3? from what i read people going strait to 1.3 seem to be having problems still. I'm just asking because i did a fresh install and went to 1.3 and was having problems with my sounds being too quiet.

I did a fresh reinstall of the game and went to 1.3 without the others. Seems to work fine for me.

I did a fresh install, then patch 1.2, then 1.3.
Works perfectly.
Be sure to check out the mods forum, there are many community-made mods worth downloading!

I initially reinstalled the game from the ground up, with patch 1.2 and then 1.3. I, however, istalled the game on a different drive than 'C', and it would crash after trying to set up a mission. I reinstalled this way twice, the second time after having cleaned the registry- still it crashed. Finally I did another clean install, plus 1.2 and 1.3 on the 'C' drive, and it works fine...without the DVD :) .

I patched last night when i got home from work. I did clean install, 1.1, 1.2, and then 1.3

I took the easy way out. Put into port, removed all mods (thank you Jones Soft) and applied the patch.

Well frankly most patches dont address "eye candy" there are a few like sub skins and things.

The vast majority are gameplay tweaks for one reason or another.

In the modding forum there is a sticky at the top with a list of available mods.
