Sales figures for SHIV

Hey, guys, any idea on when we might have some word on the sales figures for this game? Just wondering. Thank you! :)

I'm not entirely sure if the exact sales figures are available to the public, I'm not sure, I'm assuming you're after the global sales figures.

Well, I don't really know. I suppose global figures would be good. It would give us some indication. I guess I'm just curious as to how the game is selling. We kind of got an indication about that with SH3 after it was released, but maybe it's too early yet for SHIV?

I think it has been doing pretty well here in the UK, at "Game" the Uk's leading retailer it is still in the chart 5 months after it's initial release. Most UK Print mags gave the game full and some even multi-page reviews for a change and very high (80-90%) reviews and I think that has helped boost sales quite a bit.

The change in venue to the Pacific has no doubt helped sales stateside as many US inhabitants stated that they did not like "playing as the Germans" in SH3.

i believe sh3 is still selling better than sh4 ... in fact i believe if they released an addon with the pacific scenario for sh3 instead of the game they would sell more ...

but hey ... thats just my opinion

im shure they did all the market studies and all the stuff required to please the people who bought SH4 :nope:

I think I paid $49.99 here so it was slightly cheaper here allowing for the exchange rate.:cool:

You can get it online in the UK at the moment for about £19.99 (around 30 euros)

Interestingly although people moan and groan about the price of PC games today when I purchased the original Silent Hunter in 1996, 11 years ago, it cost £49.99 (around 75 euros)!
